Amandeep Uppal

In-House Counsel

Amandeep has joined BBS Capital as In-House Counsel.

She trained at Mayer Brown International and qualified into the banking and finance group in 2008 and has been specializing within the real estate finance field since 2013. She has worked on a number of high value transactions including advising the buyers for the purchase of Old Spitalfields Market for £105 million; advising the sellers on their banking documentation for the sale of Elephant and Castle shopping centre; advising Tribeca Holdings on the funding for the £127 million purchase of 431-451 Oxford Street; advising Persimmon plc on its financing of various acquisitions, private placement issuances and covenant resetting arrangements.

More recently she was a consultant in the real estate finance team at Fieldfisher and worked on a number of transactions including both investment and development financings acting for a variety of lender clients including Tunstall, Starz, GAM, Reditum, Longbow, Metlife, Shawbrook and DRC.

Amandeep has been on a number of client secondments including at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and HSBC Bank and has interned at Goldman Sachs and Bank of America.

Amandeep is a keen cook, enjoys skiing and keeping fit.
