David Church

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

David is a Chartered Surveyor by qualification and has spent the majority of his career in real estate investment banking. He has 35 years of experience across many aspects of real estate.

David ran the EMEA real estate gaming and lodging investment banking business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2006 until 2015 , taking the team to a market-leading position in EMEA equity capital markets and M&A.

Having closed many landmark deals including for example the sale of Broadgate for Blackstone and acquisition of P3 for TPG he rose to the position of Vice Chairman prior to resigning to establish Leon Partners as an independent real estate advisory business.

At Leon Partners, David closed deals for clients, including British Land, Lone Star and Tetrarch and won the £1.7bn restructuring and sale assignment for Grange Hotels the largest hotel restructuring in Europe at the time.

After 2 years he sold Leon Partners to HFF and stayed on to build out HFF London as co-head of the business.

Having closed £7bn of transactions out of the new London office HFF was sold to JLL. David executed a change of control clause and left to take time out and take up a plural career as an investor and advisor. He is now a Partner at Invel Real Estate, a leading private equity business and a non exec and investor in Tetrarch Homes a company he helped to establish in Ireland.
